Man killed in serious assault in North Dublin

Gardaí have launched an investigation into the death of a man in North Dublin early this morning.

It is understood the victim was assaulted in a lay-by on Forrest Road at the back of Dublin Airport.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area of the attack between 12.30am and 1.30am to contact Santry garda station.

The Naul Road at the Coachman's to the Forrest Road was closed to traffic for a time, while the scene was being technically examined.
