Woman dies in Clonmel blaze
A woman has died in a house fire in Clonmel, Co Tipperary. The victim is believed to have been in her 40s or 50s.
The alarm was raised by a neighbour just after 5.30am.
The dead woman's husband escaped the blaze by jumping from an upstairs window. Efforts to save the woman failed.
The woman's body remains at the scene and the services of the State Pathologist have been requested.
