Gardaí rule out foul play in death of man in Galway

Gardaí have ruled out foul play in the death of a man whose body was recovered from the sea off Co Galway over the weekend.

The remains of 35-year-old Eugene Gill, from Tyrrellspass in Co Westmeath, were found in the water at Maree in Oranmore on Sunday afternoon.

He is believed to have been fishing in the area.

His death is being treated as an accidental drowning.
