Sinn Féin President tells 1916 commemoration that now is a time of great hope
Sinn Féin President, Gerry Adams, has told those gathered for the main Dublin republican commemoration of the Easter Rising that now is a time of great hope and opportunity.
Addressing those assembled at the Garden of Remembrance, Gerry Adams said republicans would shortly be exercising real power in the North and wanted to do the same on the southern side of the border.
