Two arrests after gun and drug seizures in west Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested two men following the seizure of a gun and drugs in the Clondalkin area of the city today.

The arrests were made after a sawn-off shotgun and cartridges were found along with €10,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine.

The seizures were made during operations linked to the on-going investigation into the murder of Damien Dowdall at Leyland Road in Clondalkin earlier this year.

The two men arrested today, who are aged 20 and 36, were arrested at separate locations.
