Almost 500 motorists were arrested for drink-driving over the bank holiday weekend, according to figures released by the Gardaí.

Almost 500 motorists were arrested for drink-driving over the bank holiday weekend, according to figures released by the Gardaí.

The figures show a total of 479 motorists were detained for the offence between March 16 and 19.
