Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has today paid tribute to the emergency services which lost personnel in the Twin Towers following the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York.

Bertie Ahern says enormous pain and grief was felt in Ireland five years ago when many Irish-Americans perished in the atrocities.
