Rape Crisis Network criticises suspended sentence
The Rape Crisis Network has added its voice to criticism of the suspended sentence handed down to a convicted rapist earlier this week.
Adam Keane (aged 20) of Barnageeha, Daragh, was given a three-year suspended sentence at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin on Monday.
Yesterday, his victim went public with an appeal for the DPP to seek a tougher sentence.
The Rape Crisis Network says it is very concerned about the signal given by the courts to potential sex offenders.
