Garda to install cameras in crime crackdown

The Garda is to roll out CCTV cameras to combat crime in some of Ireland’s fastest-growing towns, it emerged today.

The force has invited tenders to supply the systems to Drogheda, Tallaght, Mullingar, Waterford, Portlaoise, Kilkenny, Sligo, Castlebar and Ennis.
