Man arrested in connection with drugs haul

A man in his 60s has been arrested after gardaí detected drugs worth over €200,000 at Dublin Airport today.

A man in his 60s has been arrested after gardaí detected drugs worth over €200,000 at Dublin Airport today.

Detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit, together with members from the Revenue Customs, seized three kilos of cocaine.

The man who was arrested at the airport at 1pm today is being detained at Santry Garda Station under section two of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Gardaí said the seizure, depending on forensic analysis, may have a potential street value of €210,000.
