Union leaders today laid a wreath at the Dublin graveside of union crusader Jim Larkin to mark the centenary of a famous Belfast strike that briefly straddled the sectarian divide.

More than 5,000 Catholic and Protestant dockers united to fight for better pay and conditions in the Belfast Lockout between May and September 1907.
