Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness has called on the DUP to meet the challenge of power sharing.
Speaking in Limerick this afternoon the party's chief negotiator said a positive response from Ian Paisley will move the current situation forward.
Mr McGuinness said Sinn Féin has continually demonstrated a willingness to take risks in order to make the process work.
He said his party want the process to move forward, want to share power with the DUP and want to see the issue of policing resolved.
However, he added, others have responsibilities they need to meet.
