Man arrested in Cavan in connection with drugs seizure

Gardaí in Cavan have arrested one man in connection with a drugs siezure in Virginia.

The man was brought to Cavan Garda station after a quantity of cannabis and other illegal substances were found during searches in a housing estate.

It's unclear how big the seizure is.

Gardaí say they'll be stepping up their anti-drugs operation in the Cavan-Monaghan area over the Christmas period.
