The Government has reportedly agreed to appoint an independent investigator to decide if a new inquiry should be held into the 1981 Stardust disaster in Dublin.

Reports this morning say the investigator will be asked to consider the findings of the original tribunal into the fire and the new evidence that relatives of the victims claim to have uncovered.
