Up to 12 women who were due to have cancer surgery at the Mater Hospital have reportedly had their operations cancelled because of a bed shortage.

Up to 12 women who were due to have cancer surgery at the Mater Hospital have reportedly had their operations cancelled because of a bed shortage.

Reports this morning say the women had been referred by the BreastCheck screening programme, which has apparently written to the hospital expressing concern at the development.
