Gardaí do not believe shooting incidents are linked
Gardaí investigating two separate shooting incidents in Dublin say they do not believe they are linked, although the two victims did know each other.
Two men are in a stable condition in hospital following the shootings, which happened yesterday evening.
At about 8.30pm yesterday evening, gardaí were called to Animal Parade just off the North Circular Road in Dublin after residents reported hearing shots.
A short time later, a man was admitted to Blanchardstown Hospital and gardaí are satisfied he is involved in the same incident.
Earlier that evening a man was shot in the driveway of a house in Phibsborough.

Both men remain in a stable condition in hospital.
