Three people dead after separate crashes

Three people have died in the last 24 hours following separate road accidents in Tipperary, Cork and Dublin.

The latest victim was a woman in her 70s who died after she was hit by a car on Pill Road in Carrick-on-Suir at around 6pm yesterday evening.

A 45-year-old woman also died yesterday afternoon in a collision between two cars in Schull in west Cork, while the 20-year-old victim of a hit-and-run in Dublin nearly two weeks ago lost her fight for life in hospital.

Lily Hastingsbass, from Rathgar, was hit by a car while crossing Rathgar Road.
