McAleese outlines homelessness challenge

Immigrants hoping to share in Ireland’s economic success are now among those who are forced to live on its streets, President Mary McAleese said today.

In a keynote address at the 21st anniversary conference of the homeless charity Focus Ireland the President said its work had transformed lives and helped shape government policy.
