Man recovering in hospital after Limerick shooting

A man is recovering in hospital after he was shot early this morning in Limerick.

The attack happened in O'Malley Park at around 1.30am.

It is understood that a gunman fired two shots, and escaped before gardaí arrived on the scene.

The victim was hit in the leg, and is in a stable condition at Mid West Regional Hospital.
