459 arrested for drink-driving over bank holiday weekend

Gardaí have arrested higher-than-expected numbers of motorists on suspicion of drink-driving over the three days of the bank holiday weekend.

A total of 459 drivers was detained during a special operation involving increased mandatory breath tests between Saturday and Monday.
