A man and an elderly woman have died in separate road accidents in Co Longford and Co Westmeath.

A man and an elderly woman have died in separate road accidents in Co Longford and Co Westmeath.

The man died when his car collided with a lorry near the Kilbeggan racecourse in Co Westmeath at around 5.30am today.
