Teen denies murder of Englishman

The trial of a 17-year-old Dublin youth alleged to have beaten a 20-year-old to death because he was English has gone into legal argument at the Central Criminal Court today.

The deceased’s body lay undiscovered for two days in a field beside a car park in the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre where the alleged murder took place after a drinking session.

Kevin Walsh, of Allenton Green, Tallaght, denies murdering James Burke at the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Clondalkin, Dublin, between the September 22-26, 2005.

The trial before Mr Justice O'Sullivan resumes tomorrow afternoon when the jury of five women and seven men returns.
