Search launched for swimmer off Connemara coast

Rescuers in Co Galway are searching for a 39-year-old swimmer who has been missing off the Connemara coast since yesterday afternoon.

The man went for a swim off north Connemara at around 2.30pm.

He was reported missing when he failed to return home as darkness approached.
