Irish tourists warned of bomb threat in Turkey
The Department of Foreign Affairs is warning Irish holidaymakers of the on-going threat of bomb attacks in Turkey.
Twenty-one people, including 10 British tourists, were injured in an explosion on a minibus in the Mediterranean resort of Marmaris last night.
Two other bombs also exploded in rubbish bins in the town, but there were no reports of any injuries in those blasts.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says random, indiscriminate attacks could happen anytime in the country, with Kurdish rebels the most likely culprits.
It is advising Irish tourists travelling to Turkey to stay vigilant, particularly in areas popular with westerners.
