Visits to Ireland up 14% in first five months of 2006

The number of foreign visitors to Ireland has increased dramatically during the first five months of this year, according to figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

The figures show that the number of people visiting Ireland from abroad was up 14% between January and May compared to the same period last year.
