Family frustrated at delay in getting Neil Horan released
The family of former priest Neil Horan has expressed frustration at the delay in getting him out of prison in Germany.
The Kerryman was arrested two weeks ago by German police when he arrived into the country to mount one of his bizarre protests at the World Cup.
He had planned to go to Berlin to unveil a poster praising Adolf Hitler as a good leader, but German law strictly limits neo-Nazi propaganda and bans Nazi symbols.
Mr Horan's brother Dan says the family is concerned about his welfare and do not know whether he has access to his medication.
He has also criticised the Department of Foreign Affairs, which he accused of poor communication.
The department says the Irish Embassy has been in contact with the Horan family and consular assistance has been offered to the ex-cleric, but they are waiting for him to accept it before the process can begin.
