Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident in West Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

Reports indicate that a woman was shot in the Greenfort area of Clondalkin shortly after 2am.

It is understood that a number of shots were fired from a moving car at a group of people standing at the side of the road.

A 20-year-old woman was removed to Blanchardstown hospital for treatment but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

No one else is thought to have been injured in the incident.
