Airport bomb scare suspect remains in custody

Gardaí were tonight questioning a middle-aged man who forced the evacuation of thousands of staff and holidaymakers at Dublin Airport after walking into the terminal claiming he was carrying a bomb.

Up to 20 flights were cancelled or delayed and others waiting to take-off were left parked on the runway for almost an hour as the army bomb disposal unit searched the arrivals lounge.
