Gardaí probe violent clash in Co Tipperary village
Gardaí in Co Tipperary are investigating a violent disturbance involving a large group of Travellers in the village of Killenaule last night.
The row, which involved up to 40 people, apparently broke out following a party at a pub in the village.
One local resident said those involved, who included children as young as 11 or 12, retrieved weapons like machetes, iron bars and slash hooks from the boots of a number of cars.
One man was hospitalised following the violence, while another was arrested by gardaí.
