Gardaí identify Wicklow road accident victim

Gardaí have named the 67-year-old female pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a car at Blainroe, in Co Wicklow last night.

Josie Daly of Ballinagore, Mullingar, Co Westmeath lost her life while walking along the coast road near Wicklow town at 8pm.

A 40-year-old male companion who was seriously injured in the accident remains in a stable condition at Beaumont hospital.
