Investigation ordered into anonymous tip-offs to two TDs

The chairman of the Morris Tribunal today ordered a preliminary investigation into the making of anonymous allegations to two politicians.

Jim Higgins of Fine Gael and Brendan Howlin of Labour received phone calls in June 2000 claiming that the Carthy inquiry into garda corruption in Donegal had been compromised.
