Gardaí get extra day to question Dublin murder suspects
Gardaí in Dublin have secured an extra 24 hours to question the two men still being held in connection with the murder of Donna Carey in Coolock over the weekend.
The two had their period of detention extended until 11pm tonight during a special court sitting in the capital yesterday evening.
Meanwhile, a married couple who were also arrested in connection with Sunday morning's fatal shooting were released without charge last night.
Ms Carey, a 22-year-old mother-of-one, died after being hit by one of several shots fired through the window and front door of a house on Adare Green in Coolock while a 40th birthday party was taking place.
The main suspect in the shooting, 24-year-old Dwane Foster, died in garda custody yesterday morning from a suspected brain haemorrhage.
