Raids carried out as part of investigation into child porn downloading

A number for searches were carried out on businesses and private residences here as part of the ongoing investigation into the downloading of child porn.

They happened yesterday as part of the investigation “Operation Iron”, that has been going on for the past 14 months.

Gardaí from the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Investigation Unit headed up the raids in which computer equipment was seized.
