Teenager arrested after woman found dead

A teenage boy was arrested today after a 19-year-old woman was found dead in a house in Co Kildare.

Gardaí said the woman was found with serious injuries shortly before 11pm last night in the home in Grattan Court, Celbridge.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers arrested a 16-year-old boy today.

He is being held at Naas Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, a garda spokesman said.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out later today.
