The Gardaí have reportedly set themselves a target of arresting 15% more drunken motorists this year as part of a renewed campaign on road safety.

Reports this morning said the Garda Traffic Corps was also hoping to achieve a similar increase in arrests for speeding and other forms of dangerous driving.
