Bargain hunters snap up deals in Budget Travel giveaway

More than 50 people are returning home tired but happy this morning after receiving free holidays as part of Budget Travel's annual new year sale.

Some of the lucky holiday-makers had been camped outside the company's outlet on Dublin's Baggot Street since Christmas Day.

Dublin woman Margaret Humphrey, who was first in the queue, secured a holiday in Turkey for herself and her family.

She said the worst part of the wait was missing the birth of her granddaughter.

"Apart from that, I enjoyed every minute of it," she said.
