Man killed after being hit by lorry

A pedestrian was killed today after being struck by a lorry on a main road in Co Kildare.

Gardaí at Lucan in Co Dublin confirmed they were investigating the death of the pedestrian, in his early 20s, in the accident which occurred around 4.10am on the N4 Celbridge Interchange.
