Gardaí continue to question M50 bomb suspects

Two men remain in garda custody following the discovery of a bomb in a car on the M50 on Thursday night.

Two men remain in garda custody following the discovery of a bomb in a car on the M50 on Thursday night.

It is believed the bomb was primed for use by the Continuity IRA against drug dealers in Dublin.

Yesterday, the Minister for Justice Michael McDowell said those involved were "spitting on the word Republican".

The men are being held in Clondalkin garda station.
