Gardaí seize €2m ecstasy haul

Gardai today seized €2m worth of ecstasy in north Dublin.

Swords Garda Drug Unit Station made the seizure after they stopped an articulated lorry on the Estuary Road, Swords at 11.55am.

A garda spokesman said: “This seizure, depending on the results of forensic analysis of the substances seized, may have a potential street of approximately €2m.”

Two Irish nationals in their mid-20s were arrested in relation to the seizure and are being held at Swords and Coolock Garda Stations under the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
