A 19-year-old man remains on life support in hospital this morning following a cliff fall that claimed the life of his 21-year-old friend.

The accident happened at a dangerous section of cliff in Rossnowlagh while a group of people were returning from a party at around 7am yesterday.

Two of the group fell over the edge of the cliff, which is marked by warning signs.

One of them - 21-year-old Niall Anderson from Cashelard near Ballyshonn - died in the incident, while a second was seriously injured and remains in a critical condition at Sligo General Hospital today.
