Rossiter solicitor concerned at mounting costs
The solicitor for Brian Rossiter's parents has said he is concerned about the cost implications as a result of the inquiry into the youngster's death.
Cian O’Carroll says he is seeking clarification on how much the Minister for Justice Michael McDowell is willing to reimburse both lawyers in the case and Brian’s parents.
Fourteen-year-old Brian died after a night in garda custody in September 2002, after he was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
Mr O’Carroll, speaking ahead of the resumption of the preliminary inquiry in Dublin today, said the Minister told him that he was “open” to reimbursing the law firm for expenses.
