Murder investigation launched into Clonmel fire death

Gardaí in Co Tipperary have launched a murder investigation into the death of a 30-year-old man whose body was found in Clonmel yesterday morning.

The remains of Fergus Roche, a father of one, were found after a blaze in a bungalow in Heywood Close.

A post-mortem has been completed but the results are not being disclosed for operational reasons.

Yesterday, police investigating the incident said the dead man's injuries were not consistent with a fire.
