Cullen adds voice to criticism of Rip-Off Republic show

Transport Minister Martin Cullen has become the latest Government figure to reject claims made by Eddie Hobbs in his Rip-Off Republic television show.

Hobbs has attracted record viewing figures with his comical take on the extent of rip-offs in consumer goods, drinks prices and road and motorway spending.

The Government has borne the brunt of the blame and has responded by questioning the statistics used to back up his accusations.

Mr Cullen has now disputed the figures Mr Hobbs presented when criticising road projects in the most recent broadcast on Monday night.

"In terms of some of the figures that are used, as to where some of the figures have come from, it's hard to track them," he said.
