The latest annual report from the Government's litter-monitoring body said the smoking ban had led to a signficant increase in littering by people forced to smoke outdoors.

Speaking about the matter today, Mr O'Keefe said warnings would be sent out to owners reminding them of their duty to keep the streets outside their premises clean.
