Man killed in Meath road accident

A man in his fifties was killed this morning in a County Meath road accident.

The victim, the driver of the car was involved in a head on collision with a lorry on the Main Street in Clonard at 11am.

A passenger in the car was taken to Mullingar Hospital, where he is said to be in a serious condition.

The driver of the lorry was treated for shock at the scene.
