Cash boost for islands

Islands off the coast of Donegal are to receive nearly €500,000 to improve roads, piers and sea walls, it emerged today.

The largest beneficiary of the grants from the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs is Arranmore Island, which has a population of around 540 people.
