Westport school campaigners threaten Dáil protest
Parents and teachers from a Co Mayo gaelscoil have vowed to continue their campaign to get the Government to build them new facilities.
Pupils from Gaelscoil na Cruaiche in Westport held outdoor classes in the town centre yesterday to protest at the fact that they will have no school building in a year's time.
Their current building has been condemned by the Health and Safety Authority and the lease is due to expire in 12 months.
The Department of Education has said it is doing all it can to resolve the situation, but parents and teachers say this is not enough and have threatened to protest outside the Dáil next month if their concerns are not addressed.
