A TURF war has broken out between Education Minister Batt O’Keeffe and a Labour councillor over the funding for a school.

Parents and teachers from a Co Mayo gaelscoil have vowed to continue their campaign to get the Government to build them new facilities.

It was ironic that on the day that Education Minister Mary Hanafin announced a €40 million annual social inclusion — or equality — plan, young children were withdrawn from one school condemned in a Health and Safety report last year.
