Tánaiste to meet SIPTU over nursing home training

SIPTU is to meet the Tánaiste and Minister for Health Mary Harney tomorrow to discuss what it describes as "worrying" conditions for workers and patients in private nursing homes.

The union is calling for the introduction of legislation to ensure that all employees in private nursing homes are properly trained to the same level as public sector health workers.
