150 jobs to go in Galway city

Crown Equipment Corporation has announced the closure of its plant in Mervue in the suburbs of the city of Galway.

The company is to close its plant by the end of the year, resulting in the loss of almost 150 jobs.

The company is relocating production to China after 40 years in Ireland.
